Second Run Presents

Second Run was born from a passion for great cinema.

Cinema was always my obsession. After a long career in the music business, I decided to return to my first love, and started Second Run. I was already an avid DVD collector but was frustrated to find that so many of the films I longed to see weren’t available. So I began armed with a long list of films that I wanted to see released, and finally, Second Run was born in 2005.

Now, after more than 200 releases, I’m often asked what my favourite Second Run film is, but that’s impossible for me to answer. It’s each and every one of them – otherwise they wouldn’t be on Second Run.

But for Timeless Film Festival Warsaw, I was asked to curate five films from the Second Run catalogue and, after some reflection, I chose those which have a special personal meaning for me. Films I remember vividly from the time I first saw them, films that have spoken to me and that I want to share with others, films that never left me. 

I invite you to join me in celebrating the extraordinary power of film to inspire and provoke – to celebrate the wonder of cinema.
