Timeless Film Festival Warsaw unveils the poster for its 3rd edition
Before we take our seats in the cinema, we’d like to share the image that will accompany this year’s edition. We are proud to present the official poster and visual identity of the 3rd Timeless Film Festival Warsaw, created by illustrator Adam Kosik.
Beyond time, beyond place
The poster brings together three Warsaw cinemas – Luna, Iluzjon and Muranów – as its central protagonists. Kosik highlights their most distinctive features, placing them side by side to create a shared festival microcosm. The result is a tribute to the architecture that houses our cinematic dreams.
As the artist explains: “A poster for a festival called Timeless should exist somewhat beyond time and place. Here, time itself feels uncertain – it’s hard to tell whether it’s day or night, or even what season it is”. This sense of visual ambiguity, combined with a quiet, almost magical atmosphere, echoes the aesthetic of The Truman Show.
The moment before the lights go down
While the buildings are rendered with great attention to detail, the poster ultimately tells a story about the audience. Kosik focuses on that fleeting moment just before the screening begins – charged with anticipation, excitement and a hint of nervous energy.
It captures cinephilia in action: moving between venues, waiting in line, rushing to find the last available seat – and coming to terms with the fact that you can’t be in three places at once (even if the poster suggests how tempting that might be). It’s a portrait of the life that unfolds just beneath the cinema facades.
From sketch to final image
The creative process began with analogue pen sketches, gradually evolving through layers of texture and colour into the final illustration – soon to appear across Warsaw. Kosik combines architectural precision with a dreamlike lightness, creating a visual identity that reflects a festival “beyond time”.
The poster is already available on our social media channels and will soon appear throughout the city.
