the best stories are timeless
The Timeless Film Festival Warsaw (April 8-14, 2024, Warsaw, Poland) puts into motion the classics that continue to shape the tastes of audiences. Cinema’s past is not only the history of masterpieces, but also a host of dead ends and aesthetic revolutions. The festival combines fire and water: it presents the canon and questions it, shows renowned films after restoration in the best quality available, and negotiates a place for new filmmakers who are lesser-known in Poland.
The festival program will include retrospectives of outstanding auteurs of Polish and international cinema (among them the legendary British duo Michael Powell & Emeric Pressburger), a rich representation of genre cinema, surprising juxtapositions of films and phenomena, sections devoted to avant-garde and animation artists, documentaries about cinema, and one-of-a-kind events such as a screening of Miloš Forman’s Amadeus with live music and choir at The Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera.

Film Concerts
Timeless Film Festival Warsaw concerts (April 8-15, 2024) promise a journey of discovery – an exploration of unprecedented connections and a search for new forms of expression. It’s also about rediscovering what has been forgotten and underappreciated. For months, the festival’s creators have collaborated with composers to offer the inaugural Timeless Film Festival Warsaw audience a unique music-film experience – too often, our focus on films centers solely on the visual. The musicians will perform their own compositions, often to films that they themselves have selected.
