We hope this extensive program will bring festival-goers plenty of joy, satisfying both the desire to revisit beloved classics and the thrill of discovering hidden gems. That’s why the lineup features numerous titlesrecently restored in digital format. Such a comprehensive cinematic journey has never been presented at a Polish festival before!

We call it a “lesson” for a reason – this section is a true compendium of the changes cinema has undergone over the past century. It starts with the 1920s and 1930s, represented by The Gold Rush, Gone with the Wind, The Wizard of Oz, and Freaks, and moves through essential works from the 1970s and 1980s, including John Boorman’s Deliverance, Steven Spielberg’s The Sugarland Express, Brian De Palma’s Carrie, Peter Weir’s Picnic at Hanging Rock and Witness, and Martin Scorsese’s The Last Temptation of Christ. The selection also embraces contemporary masterpieces such as David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Christopher Nolan’s Inception, two films created by some of today’s most influential mainstream directors. The section spans across continents and genres, featuring key works from American, Asian, and European cinema.
Dramas, comedies, thrillers, westerns, horror films, sci-fi, and even erotica – including Nagisa Ôshima’s iconic diptych Empire of Passion and In the Realm of the Senses. Alongside widely celebrated classics, the program also highlights rare cinephile treasures, rarely screened in cinemas – such as Maurice Pialat’s To Our Loves, Ester Krumbachová’s Killing the Devil, Tseng Chuang-hsiang’s Woman of Wrath, Chantal Akerman’s Golden Eighties, and Michael Haneke’s The Rebellion. This year’s lineup is exceptionally rich – a festival within the festival.
And this is only a taste of what Film Lovers’ Feast has to offer. You’ll find the full program at the second edition of Timeless Film Festival Warsaw an event that, true to its name, pays tribute to timeless cinema, captivating generation after generation. Just like the films in this section have done for decades.
