Program and Tickets for Film Concerts
The first edition of the Timeless Film Festival Warsaw proved that cinema enthusiasts and music lovers share a deep connection. This year’s program once again brings together music and film, offering unique cinematic experiences enhanced by live performances.
The festival will open with a film concert at the POLIN Museum, featuring French composer and multi-instrumentalist Christine Ott, accompanied by Mathieu Gabry. The duo will perform a live score for Robert Flaherty’s celebrated silent film Man of Aran (UK, 1934).

Set on a storm-ravaged island off the coast of Ireland, Man of Aran depicts the daily struggles of a fishing family in the 1930s. The film is a poetic tribute to human resilience, solidarity, and the relentless battle against nature. Christine Ott is a virtuoso of the ondes Martenot, a mysterious electronic instrument invented in 1928 by Maurice Martenot. She has collaborated with renowned artists such as Yann Tiersen, Radiohead, and Tindersticks. Her score for Man of Aran, composed over four years, blends impressionist harmonies, minimalist repetition, and intimate post-rock textures.
The concert will take place on April 7 at 8:30 PM at the POLIN Museum. Tickets for the opening concert:

The festival will close with a screening of Max Reichmann’s The Miracle of Flowers (Das Blumenwunder, Germany, 1925), accompanied by a live performance by Christine Ott and Mathieu Gabry.
Filmed between 1922 and 1925, this silent classic combines time-lapse footage of blooming plants with narrative sequences and ballet choreography. The film features Maria Solveg Matray, a silent-era star, alongside dancers from the Berlin State Opera, portraying flower nymphs in a mesmerizing celebration of nature. Using accelerated cinematography, The Miracle of Flowers reveals the hidden life of plants, showing how their movements echo those of humans and animals.
German film theorist Rudolf Arnheim praised the film in 1932: “The Miracle of Flowers (…) is undoubtedly the most fantastic, beautiful, and captivating film ever made”. Performing as Snowdrops, Ott and Gabry have crafted an entirely different soundscape compared to their score for Man of Aran. Their evocative compositions intertwine with Reichmann’s imagery, heightening the sense of wonder and mystery surrounding the natural world.
The concert will take place on April 14 at 8:30 PM at the Iluzjon Cinema. Tickets for the closing concert:

The artists will also perform in: Kraków (Manggha Museum), Katowice (Rialto Cinema), Wrocław (Nowe Horyzonty Cinema), Poznań (Pałacowe Cinema, CK Zamek), Łódź (National Center for Film Culture). Tickets for Cracow’s concert:
