Polish documentary cinema is an abyssal treasure trove full of gold: choosing four sets of short films was therefore quite a challenge, but Jakub Demiańczuk, the section’s curator, has made an excellent selection that will make visible the invisible work of women, give back female documentarians their place in history, present the documentary part (some say the more excellent part) of Krzysztof Kieslowski’s achievements, and… take you into outer space.
